Vectech Wins VK Agarwal Innovation Award

Vectech, a startup developing innovative insect detection and monitoring technologies, announced today it had won the $10,000 VK Agarwal Innovation Award. Vectech was one of several teams who competed during Johns Hopkins University’s FastForward U Demo Day pitch competition. Adam Goodwin, Vectech's Chief Technology Officer, accepted the award from Ethan Agarwal, founder and CEO of New York-based Aaptiv.

Vectech is developing applied optics and computer vision approaches that are able to identify vector species. Vectech's technology can be implemented in a variety of tools, from public health operations, to citizen science, and entomolgical research.
